We've been pretty burst recently - on the buying and selling front. But as always we're cleaning the shop throughout the day and keeping the shop well ventilated!
Lets have a look at what we bought recently:
1) A big 80s/90s Indie/Rock/Punk vinyl collection. Most titles are in great nick (apparently everything was just played once to record to tape). Some very cool records from: Throwing Muses, Spacemen 3, Bob Dylan, Oasis, Galaxie 500, Suicide, The Cure, Television Personalities, Sonic Youth, Sleeper, Ivor Cutler, Sisters Of Mercy, Sebedoh, Neil Young, REM, Laibach, Pulp, Teenage Fanclub, Motorhead, The Verve, Pere Ubu etc.
2) Big stack of DNB and Jungle including 12"s from Source Direct, Goldie, Dom & Roland, Mr Monik, Peshay, Photek, DJ Rap, Splash, Omni Trio etc.
3) Nice big pile of CDs including loads of Reggae, ECM, Section 25, Don Cherry, The Kinks, Edgar Froese etc.
4) 50 90's-2000's DNB 12"s including 12"s from Breakage, Calibre etc.
5) A nice mixture of LPs including some from NWA, Jessie Ware, D'Angelo, Herbie Hancock, Lauryn Hill etc. Plus some UK Hip Hop 12"s and LPs.
6) Loads more Soul LPs and 12"s including Marvin Gaye, Atlantic Starr, The O'Jays, Ohio Players etc.
7) One seller has been coming in a lot with some great Metal LPs (records from Saxon, Sodom, WASP, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Onslaught, Slayer etc).
8) Toru has sold in loads of great records including titles from Freda Payne, Russ Gabriel, Max Romeo, Luke Vibert, Willie Hutch, Chocolate Milk, Mary Wells and some Disco 12"s.
9) Some great Classic LPs from one seller including Miles Davis, The Beatles and King Crimson originals.
10) Retired DJ Kenny White sold in a few more LPs and 12"s including some on Sublime Frequencies, Ozo, Steve Reich etc.
11) A load of ECM LPs came in from one seller, including some other titles from the Beatnuts, Faith Evans and Map Of Africa.
12) Some Deep House and Jazz from one seller including 12"s and LPs from Ron Trent, Lonnie Smith, Chez Damier etc
13) Massive stack of bargain Reggae 12"s - from Roots to Soca to Dancehall.
14) Some Industrial and Metal CDs from Coil, Wire, Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy, Isis, Jesu etc.
15) Jazz and Blues vinyl including titles from John Lee Hooker, Archie Shepp, Sonny State, Art Blakey etc.
16) More big vinyl box sets including titles from Tom Petty, Metallica, Queen, Tangerine Dream and Kirsty McColl.
17) Loads of new reissue LPs (and a few originals) from TLC, 50 Cent, Fela Kuti, John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, Alfa Mist etc.
18) Some 80s titles from Morrissey, Cocteau Twins, Erasure and New Order.
19) Some fairly modern pressings from artists like Coldplay, Pink Floyd, Jonsi, Wedding Present, The Beatles, Jon Hopkins and Oasis.
20) Some Punk Vinyl and CDs including titles from Necros, Against Me, Masked Intruder, The Rivals etc.
21) Probably the biggest collection we bought recently was a massive Rave collection - probably around 1500 12"s (and a few LPs and 45s) starting around Acid House and stopping just before Jungle. Lots of Production House, Suburban Base - loads of Trax, Balearic, Synth Pop,New Beat, Italo House etc. Generally everything in great condition too which is pretty cool!
The shop is looking absolutely jammed at the moment, theres so much great stuff out at the moment!!
