This Blog was written to the sounds of Seba
Its been a fairly busy few weeks here at Reckless despite the current situation. Plenty of records coming in and - its still selling fast.
Heres whats been coming in:
A) Sean was at a Rock collection which had quite a few Led Zeppelin obscurities - mostly pressings that are rarely seen in the UK. There were also titles from The Smiths, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Joy Division, XTC, Simon & Garfunkel, Blondie, Roxy Music etc.
B) Scott was also out at a collection in Croydon and bought a load of wicked Drum & Bass and Jungle. Plenty of Metalheadz, Moving Shadow, Renk etc. Quite a few under the radar classics too including the amazing N-Zo & DJ Invincible 12"s. There were also a few decent Indie and Rock records there from artists like The Doves.
C) I bought in a decent stack of Classic Rock and Hard Rock which had pretty clean copies of classics from Van Halen, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Dio, Ozzy Osbourne, Aerosmith, ZZ Top etc.
D) Tonnes of new Reissue LPs also came in from one seller including classics from The Beatles, The Clash, Sex Pistols, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, The Who, Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Blind Faith, Pearl Jam, Oasis, Talking Heads etc.
E) I bought in a cracking pile of LPs from a fairly regular seller which included huge box sets from INXS and a complete Monty Python recordings box - plus titles from Phil Collins, Fela Kuti, David Bowie and about another 30 more.
F) We've had several visits from one seller who has been bringing in an amazing mix of records. Classic Rock and Punk (Pink Floyd, Cockney Rejects, Kraftwerk, Can, The Who, Sex Pistols) and loads of Reggae (The Heptones, Mad Professor, Barry Brown, Linval Thompson, Barrington Levy, Sister Nancy) and also a lot of Jazz Funk and Highlife. We've probably bought close to 400 records off him in the last few weeks.
G) A nice pile came in from one seller which consisted of Stones Throw titles, Steel Pulse, Morgan Geist and many more.
H) Small but nice pile of Leonard Cohen and Judy Collins LPs - but all US issues.
I) Around 60 Dubstep, House and Techno records from the last 10 years.
J) From various sellers LPs, 12"s and 45s from BB King, Gong, J Dilla, Deepchord, James Brown, Bonobo, Chemical Brothers, Lou Rawls, Scientist, Tom Waits, Aquarius, Fairport Convention, Uriah Heap, Martin Denny, The Band, Etta James, Jethro Tull, Miles Davis...and many more.
K) Avant dance selection including a lot of DJ Sotofett, Bjorn Torske and Onehotrix Point Never.

Whats been going out?
1) Reggae LPs, 12"s and 45s. I will be putting out around 100 Reggae 45s this morning too.
2) Drum & Bass / Jungle - tonnes of it.
3) Jazz - loads of great Jazz titles going out at the moment.
4) Classic Rock and Folk Rock.
5) New Reissues - we restocked a lot of missing classics.
6) Loads of great CDs - all across the board.
