Simply an insane week!

Ahoy there me hearties!

This Blog was written to the sounds of T2

Incredibly busy week this week. Very much down to some of the insane Records that have been going out this week.

Whats gone out:

1) Seriously top end Hardcore and Jungle; including some very rare titles from Tom & Jerry, Jungle Buddha, LTJ Bukem etc. Also loads of standard but still amazing bits on Reinforced, Suburban Base, Production House etc.
2) A fair bit of Grime; nothing super rare but lots of £20 12″s.
3) Several very high end New Zealand and Australian LPs and 45s; including LPs from The Masters Apprentices, La De Das, Chants R&B, The Underdogs, The Bluestars etc. Also there are several very nice Antipodean issues of records by the Kinks, Yardbirds, The Who etc. We also put out and sold the original Saints “I’m Stranded” that sold on the day of being put out.
4) Several UK Jazz rarities from Michael Garrick and Mike Westbrook. We also put out a nice copy of Jazz At The Pawnshop which I purchased last week.
5) Several big ticket Iron Maiden items, including Live In Donnington and The Beast Of The Beast box set.
6) Beautiful purple vinyl pressing of Purple Rain by Prince – with the poster!
7) Tonnes more rare Blues titles. Lots more US titles this time, but still several Python titles.
8) More crazy Rap LPs – loads of 90s titles.
9) Quite a few Dennis Brown LPs went out – as well as a bunch of more Dancehall titles from Cocoa Tea etc.
10) Hue chunk of Beatles rarities – including a lot more foreign picture sleeves.

The buying this week has been top notch. As well as quite a few of the titles mentioned above we have also bought in..

1) Lots of very nice Jazz, Soul, Funk CDs. Including quite a few box sets. Lots of Soul Jazz titles.
2) More Punk/New Wave/Goth. Including records from Alien Sex Fiend, Buzzcocks, Sex Pistols, Bauhaus, Crass. There were also some Post Punk/Industrial oddities; some of which were incredibly sought after.
3) Some semi rare Reggae 45s; all JA and US issues. As well as a Congos LP.
4) Loads of Drum & Bass/Hardcore – as well as a whole bunch of Happy Hardcore and UK Garage. These are really across the board – from rare to standard – from clean to rough.
5) Nice Jazz selection – mostly reissues but top ones from Jazzman. Also included were several Latin LPs.
6) Decent pile of Metal titles; some signed Megadeth 12″s as well as some picture discs; also Metallica, Iron Maiden etc.
7) Large selection of Classic Rock – Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Cream, Camel, Genesis, Scott Walker, The Rolling Stones, The Small Faces, The Who.
8) Several cassettes including a sought after copy of Roy Ayers’ Everybody Loves The Sunshine.
10) A smidgen of Grunge/90s Indie LPs – including Pavement, Soundgarden, Sonic Youth, The Pixies, Dinosaur JR.

Plenty more collections on the horizon; keep checking in!
This week we are well chuffed to have Two Top Tens!!!

Brother and Sister Joe and Isabel have a killer night coming up – so they’ve curated two Youtube Top Tens to promote it! You may know Joe as being in The Horrors; he notoriously has a wicked collection and DJs all over the place. Isabel puts on some gnarly Hardcore Punk gigs that you’ve probably been too – and if not why not!!
